INDUS RIVER RAFTING

Hemis to Choglamsar

First grade rafting. After visiting the famous monastery of Hemis, about 30km rafting in the Indus valley on calm moving water without obstacles worth mentioning. You will float through the lush villages of Stakna, Thikse, Shey and Chushod and finish at Choglamsar.




Phey to Nyemo

Second to third grade rafting. Putting the boats in the Indus water at the village of Phey, around 17km fast and thrilling rafting in a beautiful scenery. The rafting ends at Nyemo village where the Zangskar and Indus rivers confluence.





Nyemo to Alchi

A fourth grade rafting of around 20km only for more experienced people, for it has powerful waves and requires precise maneuvering.




ZANGSKAR RIVER RAFTING

Remala to Nyemo

A combination of a unique jeep safari to the Zangskar Valley with a first to fourth grade rafting down the Zangskar River. Starting from Leh, a three days jeep trip through the scenic Indus and Suru Valleys brings one to Remala village in upper Zangskar. On the way there are overnight stops at Mulbekh village and Rangdum monastery. From Remala we then raft a distance of more than 150km in 7 days to Nyemo village in the Indus Valley. On the way there are many beautiful excursions to villages and monasteries along the river.
