Standing in the midst of Poplar and Willow trees, I used to look at the tourists and wonder in amazement when will I get a chance to be with them and show them around, talk about our culture and so on. It was this curiosity that pushed my thoughts and directions in pursuing a career into Tourism.

With this aim and an interest in working with Tourists saw the establishment of Shanti Tours in year 1993 AD. Ladakh being a land of immense peace and spirituality, I found there could not be a better name than “Shanti” – a hindi word meaning “peace” - to call my Travel Agency, a name that signifies and highlights one of the important characteristics of Ladakh as a destination.

Starting with a scarp, today Shanti Tours is among the foremost Travel Companies in Ladakh, catering to the travel needs of growing number of Tourists visiting the region. Duly approved by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, the entire show of Shanti Tours is managed and run by a team of young and dedicated local staff who are well adept and experienced in organizing and conducting both Cultural and Adventure Tours in Ladakh.

We were the pioneers in conducting Chadder Trek Expedition, and our staff were among the firsts people to organize this extra-ordinary winter trek.

As we engage ourselves in more and more adventure activities in particular, the quality of our equipments has always improved, and we had always put emphasis in maintaining and procuring quality equipments like tents etc to meet the growing demands of our clients.

Our TREK CUISINES are at par with the level of A-class Hotels and we provide sumptuous and protein rich meals. When on tours we look at our guests not as just tourists but as friends and companions, we work as team and not as strangers thereby trying to create a sense of togetherness so that our guests not only feels comfortable but it makes them feel at home. One will find flexibility in our tours and not rigidness, for example we invite our guests to try their hand in the kitchen if at all they wish to prepare a homelike cuisine and so on, and thus we try to give a thoroughly satisfying tour experience.
